Moving to a new city requires much more guidance and research than simply moving to a new neighbourhood. Whether you’re relocating from across the province or across the world, finding the right home and community would be tough to do on your own. When it comes to living in Edmonton, I’d be happy to give you a few pointers to ensure you feel right at home!
If you’re interested in living in Edmonton, here’s what you should know.
Welcome to Edmonton!
For many people, the first thing that comes to mind when they think of Edmonton is the famous West Edmonton Mall. And while it is one of the most popular local attractions, the area offers so much more! The city is easy to get around–you can travel from one end to the other in about 30 minutes. When you venture outside of the downtown core, you’ll find some beautiful neighbourhoods that are the perfect balance between downtown and country living.Find the Best Community
The neighbourhood you live in can really make or break your homeownership experience. Your community should be a reflection of your lifestyle, whether you’re single and looking for a condo community with all the latest amenities, or are moving to Edmonton with your family and want to be in a quiet neighbourhood near the top schools. Find the right community by asking yourself these questions:- What type of home do I need? (Condo, townhome, detached, semi, etc.)
- How long of a commute do I want to make?
- What type of amenities do I want close by? (Shops, gyms, entertainment, etc.)
- Do I want to be able to walk everywhere?
- What area best fits my budget?
If you’re not sure how to answer any of the above, don’t worry! When you work with me, I’ll help you find the answers.
